How Do I Move DataVault 7 and My Secure Folders to a New Computer

To move your DataVault 7 Secure Folders to a new Computer:

1. First, download and install the latest version of DataVault 7:
   Download the software package: Where do I download the DataVault 7 software?
   Follow the installation steps here: How do I install DataVault 7?
   
   
2. Registering your new computer with your ENC License Account will use an available installation slot on your DataVault 7 license;
3. Insert the flash drive in the OLD computer's USB port;
4. Locate your DataVault 7 Secure Folders and copy them to the USB drive;
5. Connect the USB to your new computer and paste your Secure Folders to the desktop;
6. Start the DataVault application on the new computer and login;
7. In the Menu, click Add Secure Folder > Existing Secure folder
8. In the opened window, navigate to the secure folders on the desktop;
9. Select a folder to add and enter the password that was last used to open the folder on your old computer;
10. Repeat Steps 7-9 to add your remaining folders into the program user interface;
11. If a secure folder does not show any files present,  click on the cog wheel above the folder icon, open the secure settings with your folder password, and on the menu choose "Repair";

Note: If your existing license has been fully used, you would need to acquire a new license.  Be sure to use the same email address and password for the new license as exists on the old license.
