A DataVault Software License Does Not Include Cloud Storage
Your DataVault License does NOT include a Cloud Storage facility. You can use DataVault with your own Cloud Account (Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, iCloud Drive or DropBox) to more securely store your files.
How to Create DataVault Secure Folders in the Cloud
You can create Secure Folders in your Cloud Folder and access those Secure Folders with the software from any licensed computer that has access to your cloud account folders (Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud or Dropbox).
If you have licensed DataVault 7 on your USB device, you will be able to access your Secure Folders in your Cloud folder from other computers.
Follow the steps below:
- Make sure that your Cloud folder appears in your Computer's menu;
- Log in to your DataVault secure account on your licensed computer or licensed USB-connected drive;
- Click on the + Icon to create a new secure folder and Continue;
- On the "Save to Location" dialog window choose "Other Location" and then click 'Continue' to open the navigation Window;
- Name the new Secure Folder and navigate to your online cloud folder, to save it;
- If you are using Mac, in the dialog window to select a location for the cloud Secure Folder , name the Secure Folder and click on the down arrow; then navigate to the cloud location and create a new folder, then save the Secure Folder;
- The new Secure Folder located in the cloud will now appear in the main secure folder panel;
Your cloud Secure Folder will be accessible when you launch DataVault on your computer and login. The Secure Folder will also be accessible from your licensed USB drive, on your computer and on any other computer when you launch DataVault on your USB device, provided that you can reach your cloud folder from that computer.
How DataVault Improves the Security of My Cloud Folder storage
The security of data stored in the Cloud is often a question. With DataVault you have improved security because of the dual authentication process. A password is required for access to your Cloud Account and another password is needed to open your DataVault Secure Folder to access the encrypted files.
