How do I install DataVault 7?

WINDOWS

  1. Double-click the installer to start the installation process;
  2. The initial setup screen is shown; click “Next” to continue;
  3. The License Agreement is shown: read the Agreement and select “I agree” and click "Next";
  4. On the Installation Folder and User screen; please choose only Me as the User and leave the default location folder as shown;
  5. Click “Next” to continue;
  6. Confirm the installation and click “Next” to start the install process;
  7. When the basic installation is complete, click “Next”;
  8. After DataVault is installed a Registration Window will open;
  9. A Welcome screen opens, and you can choose to Try the software for 14 days or Activate your License if you have bought one.
  10. Accept the End User License Agreement;
  11. Fill in your ENC License Account email address and password
  12. You have now activated the software and can start using it!

 

 MAC

  1. Double-click the installer file to start the installation process;

  4. The Install wizard will guide you through the installation process;
  5. When the basic installation is complete, click “Next”;
  6. After DataVault is installed, a Registration Window will open
  7. A Welcome screen opens, and you can choose to Try the software for 14 days or Activate your License if you have bought one.
  8. Accept the End User License Agreement;
  9. Fill in your ENC License Account email address and password
  10. You have now activated the software and can start using it!

 

ON A FLASH DRIVE FOR WINDOWS (PORTABLE INSTALLATION)

  1. Download the installers in the zipped folder here: Where do I download the DataVault 7 software?
  2. In your Downloads folder, Right-click on the zipped image folder and "Extract All"; this will unpack the two installers;
  3. Drag and drop, or copy, both installer files onto your external USB drive;
  4. Run the Windows executable file:  ENCDataVault;
  5. Follow the steps to complete the installation and activation of the software;
  6. Enjoy using DataVault portable!

 

ON A FLASH DRIVE FOR MAC (PORTABLE INSTALLATION)

  1. Download the installers in the zipped folder here: Where do I download the DataVault 7 software?
  2. In your downloads folder, extract both installer files from the zipped folder;
  3. Drag and drop the program executable files to your external drive
  4. Execute the installer file for Mac;
  5. Follow the steps to complete the installation and activation of the software;
  6. Enjoy DataVault on your portable device!

INTEGRATING YOUR EXISTING VAULT FOLDER INTO DATAVAULT 7

If you have now installed and activated DataVault 7 on your flash drive, and you previously activated the EncryptStick, SecureAccess or PrivateAccess software and need the files stored in a Vault folder, you can add your original vault into the DataVault 7 program user interface with the following steps:

  1. Log in to DataVault 7 with your credentials (email address and password);
  2. On the main screen click to Create a Secure Folder;
  3. Click Continue and then choose ADD EXISTING  and navigate to the drive location of your existing vault;
  4. Add your existing vault with the correct password for that vault;
